What is Powder Coating?

Powder coating is a way to coat/finish metal.

It is applied as a free flowing, dry powder to a metal surface. The powder is applied electrostatically and then cured under heat which bakes it onto the metal. Powder Coating provides a hard, permanent and even coating. The powder used in powder coating is solvent and chemical free, making it a more eco friendly option than wet paint.

An electromagnetic charge is used to hold powder to the part, so the amount of wastage in this process is minimal.

Metallon Steel Fabrications has an 8m oven, giving us the ability to provide products that are highly resistant to wear and tear.

We proudly use Interpon Colours and can colour match almost any colour.
